Boise, Idaho
I am from Boise Idaho, and travel working for a gas turbine engine company in the energy buisness. I currently own a 67 RS/SS Camaro originally a small block RS/SS, but changed everything to BBC. I didn't have the original engine anyway. Also just finished a L68 427/400 1969 Vette Roadster, original except the side pipes.
I would like to build another C3 with a aftermarket custom chassis with c6 Z06 or ZR1 drivetrain. That will take lots of cash to do that so it will take me a number of years to complete.....

I like the Camaro Wally but wouldn't give anyone a wooden nickel for a corvette.
Good luck with your build though, I wish you lots of good luck with it.
I have got a 72 Vette and have had nothing but problems it.
The wife wants it kept original and I want to do after market so it is more reliable.
Thanks to the problems with the vaccum and a saftey switch that never seams to work right it's cost me alot of money. The door for the wipers comes open half way the wipes hit it get stuck, burns up wipers motor the alt's and anything else that it can along the way. I want to put a longer hood on it and do away with the door then I want to switch the head light over from vaccum and make them electric. I've had the entire vaccum system redone but you get one little leak or something goes bad and nothing works.
The wife won't let me fix it for good so I let it sit and won't touch it, till she finally gives in. After spending almost five grand trying to do it the original way and it still does not work. I am ready to try another approach.

Welcome, Wally. Which GT supplier are you with? I had dealings with GE, Westinghouse (pre-Siemens), Solar and ABB units over the years working for the AE/EPC side.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Unless it is a rare car, I would throw all of the vacum crap away and go electric. However I replaced everything on my 69, and it helps to grease the shafts of the headlight actuators with some Dow silicone grease. I even had to do that with the new ones. it helps seal around the bellows.....

Like you said Wally, I would rather go all electric.
They use the electric motors out of the 80's Pontiac for the headlights.
Then I just need a longer hood which they make, then to take out
the door for the wippers. Then she could drive it again because right now
no one is. I can't afford to buy all that new stuff when she has to use the
wippers one time. Thanks Wally.

Welcome aboard Wally. I think you will find the people on this forum helpful and very friendly.
Kurt, I know how to fix that Vette. Jack up the rear view mirror and put a Ford under it.

I am not really that down on Vetts.
I test drove a new one a while back and it was nice with the heads up display and all.
I am just pissed mine is such a pile of junk, but my wife had to have it.
