Guess I should sign in..
Hi. I am new to this site. I have posted some, but still looking around. I am trying to build my first, and probably last Street Rod. I am doing it by myself, except from the help from people online. I am trying to build a 37 Ford Tudor Sedan. It has a 350/350 and a 8" Ford rearend. it has a Mustang II frontend. It is lowered 3" in the front, and 2" in the rear. It is all steel. I have had to do alot. Even had to learn how to weld.. I am still learning that part. Oh, and my name is Al..

Thanks.. I did a Honda before this.. A deal on a 33 Ford fell threw. I have never anything this involved before though. I thought more than one time to just give up, but something just kept on telling me to keep going on. Sure was nice to hear it fire for the first time. I had to change the distributator, and wasn't sure I had it in right. Now I like the car, and will keep it. Going to try and get the bodywork done next Summer, and the next year paint it. Al

Welcome to CHR. We like to see pic of your progress. I'm with 406Rich; I "built?" my 34 the first time 44 years ago and am now in the process of rebuilding it.

Welcome Al and I too adore the fat fender '37 Fords,so keep at it and it is okay to walk away from the car at times when nothing is going right, just keep coming back to it and you will conquer it..I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Boy. I have alot of them.. I took pictures of it before I got it, and all along the build. When doing it alone.. It was a bugger taking the body off the frame. Putting it back on was a peach. Ran into a major problem.. I already had the engine in the frame. The body was hanging about a foot above it all, and I couldn't set the body down. The other owner had set the motor mounts back 9". Well it took me three trys, but I made my firewall out of 16 gauge sheetmetal.. Al
