Hi from the town that brought you AMC's
HI,
Coming from a family that worked at AMC, and growning up that all I was around I have one... 70 rebel machine. Long story to it, but the short end of it is. My father and two uncles all bought rebel machines with in a few years of each other back in the late 70's eary 80's. They took them apart to rebuild them. My dad's went back together in 85, mine in 97 when I bought in from my uncle, the car was still in pieces. And the second uncle just last year got his done with paint.
Once I got mine going, with help from my father. I was 17 and learning. We started racing at the local track. My car started out in the low 13's. Pretty fast for a first car. Threw the years it's now runs consistant 11.0's and trying to get that 10.99 out of this engine combo. I think with the right weather conditions and maybe a good wind to the back of the car it could do it. But till I get that time slip....
The main reason though why I'm here is I have a chevy in my garage. A friends. it's a 91 camaro. We're going to take out the 305 and put in a 350.
I may come on here from time to with some questions. I think things will go somewhat smoothy but you know how these things go.
See yeah around the forum
Thanks
Rebel
