I come from a land down under....
Yea, another Kiwi here! Got pointed (shoved?) here by Lamin8r/Robyn so I'm going to blame him for the further lack of work happening in the shed while I spend too much time on another forum!

Welcome, von mako. Looking forward to more "timely input" - you guys are ahead of us by ~20 hours, so you can tell us about our mistakes as we are making them!!Last edited by rspears; 12-07-2010 at 07:36 AM.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

34-40..We seem to have a problem down here where as,some people have to ''bag' others work...especially work down by a well known rod shop...no ones shop in particular, but put it down as not being as good as theirs,or ''I wonder why he did it like THAT..it looks terrible...blah blah...and as von mako has connections to a top shop,he will know what I mean...Basically,its called '''Tall Poppie Syndrome '' down here,,and its something I dont miss, when I come onto this site..Lifestylz may be able to word it differently to me,as the [slightly] older chap is more eloquent than me...Actually,so are a lot of others...
Dave, bring ya skills with you...If it wasnt for your heritage,I would say you had a touch of Kiwi ingenuity bred into you..Got any cussies down our way bro???Micah 6:8

Tall Poppie Syndrome.
In a word or two.
"It describes a social phenomenon in which people of genuine merit are resented, attacked, cut down, or criticised because their talents or achievements elevate them above or distinguish them from their peers."
How's that from the Old Guy Robin?

Hey Robin, Clives always on "vocation" down there in Mangavegas. You will notice he hasn't updated us with progress photos of the Lincoln lately as the golf course has being calling his name really loud. And I'm too short to cut poppies.
Welcome Von Mako to this site from me too.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

You are nearly right.
The golf course has been a tad distracting.
I spent 7 years teaching so I guess I am somewhat "polished"
Vocation Vacation.. lol .. I'm off to spend a week on Waiheke Island soon.
I'll post some updated pics before I go.
Sorry about the hijacking.
Us Kiwis are good at that..
