hey all! (from across the pond UK)
hiya all!, names andy smith, got a 1962 ford popular 100e, a 1971 mgb roadster and a 1991 ford fiesta rs turbo as my dialy drive(the rs turbo is rare in uk now) so thought id stop by and have a look round your great site! you guys seem to have so much more choice of classic cars to customise/convert i get really jelous lol! over here there's not much choice as most classic stuff are sports cars and they tend to get bought up by collectors and restored to original spec.
over here i have a 62 ford popular 100e was originally a 1172cc sidevalve with a 3 speed gearbox. it was awefull lol! so ive now changed it to 1.8 cvh turbo and 5 speed gearbox with fiesta rs turbo ecu and management. at present runs 8 Lbs of boost and aprox 155 bhp in a car that wieghts less than a ton so its quite nippy i know its not a V8 BUT a lot of poeple in the uk fit american v8's into these cars pro street style (awesome!)
.
the MGB is standard apart from DB4 16" aston martin wire wheels. they fit sooo much better than the standard 14"ers
and here's my daily driver. a 1.6cvh turbocharged hatchback ford fiesta. for comparison, its about the same size and wieght as a mk1 VW golf/rabbit gti. im soon to rebuild the engine and have it re-mapped to around 230bhp.
cheers all! all the best, andy.

Hey,Andy,,love ya 100E,,dont see too many of those down here now...the country used to be swamped with them,,and more than a few have ended up with V6s,V8s and other 4cylinder combos,,that is,until the powers that be decided to swamp NZ with used jap imports...so,all our old pom cars were scrapped as they got too old,so there are not too many left..and so its real kool to see one now..Hope you enjoy it here, they are a very knowledgable crew on here..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

Hi Andy from me down under in NZ too. You should be proud of your little Pop as you have done an absolutely briiliant job of the rebuild and Robin (Lamin8r) said, not to many of them left on our roads.
An excellent group of friendly people on here that are so helpful etc.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
