    hey there everyone

     



    Well my names Dustin and the beauty that leads me here is my first truck i ever got my great grand paw died about 4 or 5 years back and in the will he left me a set of keys well when i went lookin around in all the sheads and barns on the property i found this old 69 ford pickup f100 swb with a lil ol straight six and 3 on the tree no power steering or ac and just a am radio talk about clasic well im ashamed to say i got busy in high school and it sat a long time seldomly geting drove well was siting here the outher day trying to find a new car to drive on weekends while i go to college and it hit me why dont i fix the old truck up well i let my cusin know i had made up my mind to fix the straght six since i aint got much cash next thing i know hes pulling into my drive way with something covered by a tarp when i unwrap my present what do i see a 71 cobra jet 429 sitin there just begin for some rubber to burn so my project begins

    it`s an easy swap .. just get everything you need from a little later model truck that came with a 460 ..

    Welcome to CHR, Dustin. Like Hoss says, you should be able to find most everything you need from a donor truck, or if you have to shop, from LMC Truck here in Lenexa, KS.

    thanks guys yes the project i mentioned is the ford my bigest concern is the trans swap and haveing to tear into the motor any one know of a good place to buy parts to rebuild the motor
