New Guy Checking In
Hello folks,
Just found this forum last night. Always looking for alternatives to HAMB and the Hotrodders Bulletin Board.
I've been a car guy all my life, mostly owning & wrenching on 50s/60s/70s stuff.
Got my first fat-fendered hot rod (street rod?) a year ago - 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe Club Coupe, kind of an old school build (previous owner had it for 20 years).
Nova front suspension, GM 10-bolt rear, 1986 Corvette TPI 350 engine with Turbo 350.
I didn't know anything about pre-1955 stuff before this one, it's been a blast so far.
The older I get the more I realize I enjoy wrenching on and researching about this car almost as much as I enjoy driving it. It's all about the journey!

Welcome Ken but do you really have the cheek to call yourself a Hot Rodder as your garage floor is simply to clean and fantastic with the chequered floor.LOL. Fantastic looking car also and I only hope it doesn't drip anything on that floor.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Nice ride, my friend had that (original) car back in the 50's. If memory serves me right it had no back seat.
Welcome to CHR, you'll enjoy.
Nice stable also.Don D

Thanks!
Thank you Sir, looking forward to having another place to hang out!!
So do we - we also have a 2001 Ford SVT Lightning and a 1997 Chevy S10, both red.
Sorta looks like a fire station when they are all parked out in front.
Thanks - our Plymouth is the Club Coupe version, which does have a back seat. The Business Coupe is the one without.Cheers,

Welcome to the forum. You have a very sharp hot rod there, and an uncommon one to boot. Nice job.

Good looking Plymouth!!! Looks like a very nicely done Hot Rod! I see you've already spotted the build thread for the other Plymouth on CHR, it's come a long ways since it's introduction on CHR!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
