Sayin hello from Arizona
So, I joined a while back and never did anything here. Life has been crazy the past two years since I have retired from my career to return to school to get my mechanical engineering degree. I had been working in collision repair and occasionally I would lend a hand to a friends hot rod shop. I am now doing work out of my house to pay the bills while I am attending school. Mostly light body work and paint, but recently I have been getting some complete repaints. These have entailed media blasting to naked and bringing them back to their glory.
I am planning building my wife and I a nice 32 roadster once I get out of school and back to working. Till then I will just keep building for customers.
As for my past and current rides, I have had numerous VW's, a Toyota mini truck that was built for shows and advertising, a few rock crawlers, and a 49 Ford business coupe (shoe box). I regret selling the 49 but times were tough and most all of my toys had to go. I currently have a 64 Bug that I am sitting on for another day. It is mostly original minus the engine. All the sheet metal is good and original. It will be a nice easy project when it comes time.
I am currently in the middle of two projects for customers, one is a 57 oval bug and the other is a 66 drag bug. The oval has had a hard life. is has been hit hard front and rear along with something falling on the roof at some point. I am doing a complete roof replacement at the factory seams for the customer. As for the rest of the car, the customer is thinking he will tackle it himself.
The drag bug is basic, strip down current paint and redo some body work and new paint.
I am happy to lend a hand or free advise to those who want to attempt any body and paint work themselves. I also am always looking for the next customer project. Feel free to PM me if you have questions or need an experts advise.

Welcome aboard.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
