FNG Lurker finally doing a post

Hello from Florida. My dad and I have a '30 Chevy 2dr Sedan we got 5 years ago. 383 w/142 B&M supercharger, 700R4, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4:56 gears out back and the list goes on and on. Bought it from a buddy who had been describing it to us for about a year but he always described it as a piece of junk and the price he offered it to us for was also a beater price too (turned out it was the friend price).

It's been a great car except lately it has had hard starts (no start) when hot, I think it may be the swap meet China gear reduction starter we got.

Welcome, nice looking little rod. There are quite a few of us from Florida on here.

I agree about those gear reduction starters. I had a Powermaster 9000 than never did work right, put on a regular full size Chevy starter and never had another problem.

Welcome to CHR, good looking car along with some very nice photography!!!!! I've never had much luck with the Chinese electircal junk either....the good stuff costs more but sure is worth it for what it saves in grief and aggravation!!!!
