FNG from Texas
Hey how goes it?
I'm brand new to the forum. I haven't even really browsed through it yet. I have been a member of the HAMB for a long time, but my current project isn't quite as traditional as they would like, so I've had to moderate my posts and opinions quite a bit. I'm here hoping to get new ideas and opinions for my truck.
Right now I'm building a 1955 First Series Chevy panel truck. I have been working on it for a few years and have tons of pictures. I am very much an amateur and in no way mean to look like or sound like I know what I'm doing. This whole truck has been a learning experience for me. I plan to start a build thread, but I'm probably going to shoot around the site a little more and see how things work.
I have been working for different automotive shops for years, mostly doing aftermarket electrical work. Once I finally realized that I was never going to make good money working for small time shops, I decided that I would go back to school. So for now, I am a full time student and a full time dad.
I run EnragedHawk's Custom Creations out of my garage. I'll be honest, it's not much more than a facebook fan page and the occasional bit of work, but it keeps me entertained when I can't afford to work on my own stuff.

Welcome to CHR. I think you'll find this atmosphere very much attuned to your build, and you'll quickly notice that flaming is not a part of this forum and since a few of the guys/gals have grandkids who occasionally read through things it is family friendly - we assume that your title means "Fun New Guy from Texas" Looking forward to seeing some pictures of your build to date - it has a killer stance!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Welcome aboard neighbor. I don't understand the other guys, I guess it's who you are as to how much flaming is directed your way. You won't find that here. Cool little panel.

Haha, I promise it's a 55, I've got the vin to prove it! The first series trucks ran into 55 a little ways, but 55 was also the first year for the Task Force body style.Experience has been a brutal but effective teacher.

Love that panel, used to have a '48 5 window...with the original front end!!!
Brick streets downtown used to beat the #$*!! out of me (and the truck).
Watcha got for a mill?...at least I'm enjoying the ride!
