Thank you everyone! The Bel Air was my first car I bought (not first driver) when I was 14. The Ford Galaxie was given to me by my grandpa when he passed away, and the Road Runner was a complete barn find out of Missouri that I picked up for cheap. The shop was built in the 60s and my dad (that's his white Jaguar next to my Road Runner) and I got it 2 years ago and I've been cleaning it out and insulating, rewiring, re-plumbing and a whole lot of other stuff.

I operate heavy equipment full time at my family's construction company. I also have a 1935 Caterpillar RD6 I need to restore. I always enjoy talking about cars and diesels with other enthusiasts. I'd love to build a 60s or 70s period correct hot rod Model A with a big block Chevy, and my dream car is a 1969 Dodge Daytona

Welcome to CHR! Yeah, I was going to say you missed the E-Type Jag in the rundown of the stable... Really like the '66 - going to have to wait for those wide, wide whites on the '67 to grow on me, but it's a very cool drop-top. Hope you stick around.

Thanks! Yeah it's a 1969 XKE with a 4.2 DOHC straight six and a 4 speed with 68,000 original miles, needs some work yet. It's not even mine but I get stuck working on it and I absolutely hate working on it.

Those wide whites are okay for now, not really for me either. They are bias-plys and they were on there when I got it. I'm debating getting a set of magnum 500's for it with repro bias plys, or sticking with the black steel wheels with some black wall tires.

I plan on sticking around for a while, as long as I remember to check in

This summer I picked up a set of Chevy steelies and Mickey Thompson E/T drags for the Bel Air but they are just a little too big for the stock wheel wells. I had to get the air shocks aired up as far as they would go for them to clear. Seems some Mini-tubs and a narrowed rear end are in order.

I also have a 396 out of a 1966 Impala to build soon for the Bel Air

I figured I'd post a picture of my newest project.

1982 Chevy K20 Scottsdale, hadn't run in two years, got it for 500 bucks. Checked the fluids, put a different air cleaner on it, and put my jumper pack on it and it started on the second try. Leaks a lot of oil, but it purrs like a kitten and starts every time.

A little rusty but it's okay

Some very nice flames on the front, the rest looks like a typical Minnesota truck!!!!

Yeah the bed is pretty rusty, needs some rocker panels too, but other than that it's solid. Turns out it's an 81 too, guy said it was an 82.

Just thought I would post an update to the truck. Put new rotors, calipers, and pads on the front. Now I just gotta bend some new lines for the rear and replace the drum brakes. Painted the wheels too!

I know, I love it! I don't even have to pump the throttle anymore to start it. I can just reach in the cab, turn the key, and it starts right up. It's still running on 2 year old gas too!
