    Starting 37 Ford drivetrain upgrade

Hello, new to this forum. After many years of setting in the yard I'm going to start on my 37 Ford coupe. It was going to be a flathead old style hot rod with stock suspension, but have changed my mine.
Going to install late V8 (Ford or Chevy) with a parallel spring open drive line using 9" Ford rear end. Haven't decided on a front suspension but, for now I'll keep the 4" drop axle setup.
I'm open for any experiences anyone wants to share on selecting a engine and best manufactured rear end installation kit.

Welcome to CHR Paule enjoy your stay. Personaly would install a Mustang ll front suspension while I have it apart and in the air. You'll be needing to add a crossmember too.. Sounds like a fun build Hope you'll post some picrture as you go.

Welcome to CHR Paul, good having you here! There's a couple other guys on here doing '37's, too, so there's a ton of good ideas floating around on suspension and drivetrain! My personal vote goes for use a Ford in a Ford, but not many on here will have the same opinion.....

Hey, Welcome to CHR PaulE!! I'm one of the other guys building a '37 on this site. Mine is a 2 door humpback sedan that my dad and I originally built back when I was in college. I'm doing it again. I have Mustang II front/parallel leaf rear, Ford 302, 5 speed, 9" rear. I look forward to seeing your pics and following your build!
