1943
hello, just joined up here, I'm an old school hot rodder. I have a 1936 ford pickup on an original titledl frame. My plans for it are to use a jag irs, 350 chevy engine mated to a four speed trans. on the front, I am using an I-beam axle with a four bar link to the frame I plan to adapt chevy disc brakes and spindles to the front axle.
I'm just starting out on this, so I'm looking for a mount kit fir the IRS and box plates for the frame to strengthen it.
The cab is original and I'll probably make it a flat bed, since I cant find a 36 bed. I do have a 29 model A bed, but I don't think it will work.
Any help or advise I can get on this project will be very helpful.

Welcome to CHR 1943. Glad to have your here, and looking forward to some pictures of your project as you can. Can't help with the mounting kit for the Jag IRS, but I one of the guys posted up his source for boxing plates not too long ago http://www.progressiveautomotive.com/Boxing.htmLast edited by rspears; 02-21-2012 at 04:40 PM.
