New from Denver
Hey all, not really new to the hotrod/muscle scene. I grew up with my Dad who owned various cars from Novas to Camaros and El Caminos, Big GM/Chevy guy. Anyways, he passed away in June, miss him dearly and may he RIP.
Being said, my dad left me lots of engine parts of good qaulity, tires, 6 trucks, and his 1970 El Camino, which I am keeping to rebuild. It is in great condition for a 1970, little work needs to be done other then putting money into it. No rust, just need a new driver side door, which he left me. I have everything to make a 410+ hp engine, using multiple kinds of blocks from a ZZ to a 69 Chevelle 350/300 HP. I am a bit educated on certain parts and things, but no were on his level.
Trying to figure out what I should keep for the El Camino, and what to get rid of, whats worth the time, what isnt. My Father did not keep crap, and alot of friends and family dont get this. New Edlebrock Performer intakes, near new Qjets, new parts in boxes such a Comp Cams, Rockers, Kenneth Black pistons, etc... I will be on here for alot of GM/Chevy advice and help, wanted to stop in and say whats up here first~!

Welcome to CHR Mark, and sorry for the loss of your Dad...Sounds like he was a great guy and a gearhead to boot! The Elky looks and sounds nice, it's certainly going to have some special significance for you just because it was your Father's!!! Take your time, ask lots of questions, plan your build, and enjoy doing it!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
