I knew you had to have some roots in the area with that name tied to MoKan Dragway over in Asbury/Pittsburg, but had to Google LaHarpe to see where! Welcome to CHR! Hope you get what you want from the forum. Your roadster looks pretty sweet from the avatar. We'd enjoy seeing some pictures when you get a chance.Roger

Welcome to CHR. I have a lot of history in Iola, Gas city and Laharpe. Lived there for several years. Was your 55 blue? I remember seeing a blue one at Mokan a couple years ago. The roadster looks great. Anyways Enjoy your stay at CHR.

Thx to all. Yep ,I did make a couple passes with the 55 in 2003. It was a club challange with the 100 mph club. But soon after I built a 62 ChevyII/Nova to race . Built a new full roller 406 for it and suddenly found I was a little too old to be doing this lol In fact the 62 is for sale on the Mokandragway for sale brd. Wish I knew how to post pics here?Last edited by mokanracer; 01-15-2013 at 02:44 PM. Reason: added sentence about my 62 Chevy.
