Just Joined, from Indy area
Hello all, from Indy area. I've been gone from hot rodding for 40yr. Built T bucket in college, sold it, got married, kids, college for kids, on and on. Now have some time and got a 32 Ford Hi Boy for play. Wife drives an 03 Vette, so we are both gear heads.

Welcome from the deep south too and agree with what has already been posted, darn nice rides. So tell us about the '32, is it SBC / Th350 / 9" or does it have something else with a stick shift ? I do like the solid yellow colour too and the trim colour suits it. Now you will have to excuse my computer as it is telling me that I have spelt colour wrong but we down here are different and enjoy putting extra letters in some of our words just to be totally different from normal. Welcome to the club anyway.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Thanks all for the welcome. The highboy was built around '97 by a guy in Tenn. I'm probably the 4th or 5th owner. It's a healthy chev 305 out of 86 truck, lumpy Comp cam, TH350 auto, TCI frame, Gibbons body, 9" Ford rear. I originally was going to add side hood louvers and red flames, but after having it a little over a year, the "subdued" look is growing on me. I do need tires as these are almost 15yr old. I was thinking of changing to whitewalls and steel wheels trimmed in red with trim rings and mini hubs.

Very nice and that's different, somebody using a 305 c.i. instead of the 350. I would leave those wheels on it personally and maybe have a second set to change when the mood takes you. I know it is your car but I do have a soft spot for those rims you have already.013.JPGI maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Glad I stumbled into this thread. A very nice '32 highboy you have there. I have louvered hood sides for mine but lately I'm in an "open engine" frame of mind, but keeping them so when I do change my mind I can put them back on. I like the louvered side look, just not today.Nick
