Big block stroker help
Im looking to start building on a new motor soon (if all goes right) and i have a couple of questions. Im looking at building a 572 chevy big block out of a 454, i found the crank and rods, etc. The thing i keep pondering is can i do this with a stock 4 bolt main block or does it have to be clearanced etc., or do i have to buy a merlin block or dart or something. Another thing is since i wanna do this right while im still young and not married (hehe), can this be supercharged or will that be too hard on the motor due to the huge stroke (4.50)?? If so what is a good compression to roughly run without problems. Im new to big blocks since i have been a small block man forever but im sick of toying around, besides it might be fun to rip the subframe out from under the ol' Nova. Any help??
