    Fairly New Guy

Guys, I guess I am a little remiss in my saying high. I joined earlier this month. I am an old retired Navy man who then commenced living in big cities (Chicago, Seattle, etc) When newly divorced decided to move back to the sticks. I live in a little town (Anita, Ia) about half way between Des Moines and Omaha just off I-80. I've built a lot of rods over the years and powered them with every motor imaginable, but now I am strictly a Ford man. My latest is a 1955 F-100 that I put in a 390 with comp cams 268H cam, Edelbrock F380 3x2 manifold and Rochester 2jets. I am currently running a SROD tranny which won't last. Had to do all the usual like rewire, put in a new heater, etc, etc. So, anyway hi guys. It's good to meet each and everyone of you.

Welcome again to CHR. Your 55 sounds like a mean machine!

Welocome to CHR, I'm about half a state north of you, just up a bit on I-29. Sounds like a neat F-100, post us some pics and enjoy your time here..

Thanks for the kind words guys. It runs great, but I still have a long ways to go on the body and the interior.

Hey, jus' sayin' hi to the Fairly New Guy He HE HE.
Nothin' wrong with livin' in IOWA. I useta' live in Titonka, Ia. That's 'bout 60 miles northwest of Mason City. I take I-80 to I-380 north to Cedar Rapids on my way back to see the ol' stompin' grounds. I think I-380 is around 242 mi. marker or so.
