New from Oregon
Wife and I live on a small farm in Central Or. I'm retired and she works as a nurse. We raise miniature horses which I sell and show, and do our own hay. The last few winters I've started working on cars. First was my 97 Wrangler, and the last few winters was a 1978 Camaro, not quite done with it yet. BUT Sat we went to the High Desert Swap Meet and came home with a 1953 Chevy 150 4dr. All original 235 6cyl, 3 spd on the column, and still 6 volt. After getting it home we had lots of surprises! First after getting trunk open we found all the chrome, door handles, rock guards, door panels and several other things. And today to my surprise i got the engine running. Things still need lots of work just to make it road worthy, but it turned out to be a great deal. Our biggest problem so far will be getting a title, car came from an estate sale. Gots lots of question coming up.

Hello WGS53, welcome to the club - it's good seeing you here! After you get past 10 posts or so, you can share some pics. (it helps keep the spammers out) Sounds like a fun project.

Welcome to the forum, WGS53. Sounds like you scored a good buy on the '53. I like what you've done to the Wrangler - nice stance, and some good underside protection along with good rock bumpers for trail running. Looks like you're running maybe 32's, like maybe BFG AT's with three to four inches of lift? Are the wheels bead lock, or just bead lock look-a-likes?Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Rspears, The jeep has a 3' suspension lift and the tires ar 31". Wheels are not bead lock just look like it from a distance. I change gears to 4.10's and hit the power cure dead on with the 31's, so for the driving that I'll do in the Wrangler its set up good for me.
glennsexton, I get up to Oregon city one in a while, and I'm supposed to go PIR with a friend in either his Austin or his chevy powerd ford in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for the welcome!!
