Are you aware that the Ramchargers used this body style, albeit a Plymouth, to build The High and The Mighty C/Altered drag car?

First car to take advantage of weight transfer. (motor and body were jacked up)
First car to use an altered wheelbase. (Rear axle was moved forward in the car)
First car to use rubber radiator hose to fabricate the world's first tunnel ram.
I'm sure there were many other "firsts" on the car.

To take Tech's retro reference another step, Street Rodder magazine has had a slow moving project car they call "RamRodder", which hails back to the first Ramcharger's car. The series started in August 2009 (took a while to find Part 1!!), but that one's not in their archive listing that I see here - Ramrodder | Find Information on Ramrodder at Street Rodder Magazine Might not be what you want to do to yours, but you might pick up some tips from some of their articles from the past four years....Roger

Along with the Speed Sport roadster the High and Mighty were two of the noiseist cars to ever grace a dragstrip. At the '60 Nats in Detroit the High and Mighty won C/A after the Steel Eel was disqualified for running nitrous. I was working in the timing trailer courtesy of the late Bill Daniels.Ken Thomas
