Hello all fellow hotrodders. I have decided to build my first rod. I picked up a 41' ford coupe that was stripped to the metal and parked in a barn. It sits on a chev full size frame ( of which I am undecided about ) and has a mustang 302 HO t5 with it ...but not in it. I need lots of help/suggestions....direction....expertise ....the whole 9 yards!!. The floor of the coupe has been replaced with a flat steel/ boxed layout. My first question of the day pertains to the frame. Go with the existing setup..or change to a S10/ Sonoma frame which I thought might be a better fit and have a better suspension setup option list...Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for all your future support. Paulo

Welcome to CHR Paulo. Sounds like a great project. As far as frames I think you will have to get your ruler out and do some checking. As I have no idea the wheel base of the two you are trying to marry. Keep us posted on your progress.Charlie

Welcome Paulo. As Charlie mentioned, do some measuring, check the wheelbase and track width to see if the frame is going to be compatible with the wheel openings on the coupe.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR, Paulo. On the frame, if it were sitting in my barn I would be shopping for some re-pop rails to put it back closer to original. Not sure if the flat steel/boxed floor layout would support that or not, but the "full size Chevy frame" would be gone. That said, it's your project and you only need to please yourself on the approach. Is there any tie to the fact that it's a '41 Coupe and you chose 41Woody as your UserName?Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
