Brittany Blue Ranchero GT
Hi All... Been restoring a 1969 Ranchero that I bought from my Aunt after my Uncle passed. The car is currently in the body shop getting all the little dings repaired, and fresh paint.
The car is fairly rare. 1 of 101 that came with a 428CJ with Ram Air, and a C6 tranny. And 1 of 3 that came in this color, Brittany Blue. One of the other three can be seen at "Muscle Car of the Week, Video #78" Part of the Brothers collection. Yes, this is an all original car. Matching numbers engine, Tranny, and am restoring it to date code correct as best I can.
Looking forward to hanging around a bit!

Welcome aboard, sounds like a cool ride.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

A few little dings and original paint might be more precious than bondo and new paint--
I had one of the first 1968 Torino 428cj----dark green, gold stripes----------one of my favorites altho I didn't have it very long-------
oh and welcome aboard---------any questions you have about engines??????

"A few little dings and original paint"
Agreed! but this one sat in the back of the shop since 1979, waiting to get repairs, and collected all the events in the shop. So original paint was not salvageable, unfortunately. So doing a complete restoration, if it wasn't a uni-body, they would call it a frame off... LOL!
I was really lucky, the engine had a hole in the side from a blown rod, I was able to have it repaired, and besides sleaving #2 and 3, a normal boring and rebuild.

Welcome to CHR! You definitely have a very cool car! You should start a build thread and post your progress so others can follow along. I'd like to watch your progress. You sure don't hear of many rancheros with a 428 CJ in them!Ryan
