What's goin' on people....been lingering around in the shadows for awhile, and finally decided to sign up. I'm a soon-to-be-emancipated college student who's parlaying an English Degree into spinning wrenches. So yes, I'm quite possibly the most eloquent grease monkey in existence. But I've got a long way to go, and my little roadster has turned into a Pandora's Box. I have a 28 Model A, and what started as a simple engine swap has turned into a three year basketcase ordeal. I look forward to picking several brains over on this site, and hope y'all can help a greenhorn.

It is a very good occasion to make your acuanitance, college boy. However, be forwarned, not all mechanics are devoid of a solid understanding of the english language. Also, with a model A, what kind of engine and tranny package are you assembling? is it supposed to look stock-or more towards the extreme? Feel free to pick brains, we've got quite a selection!

Hoo yeah, I got me some pictures....when I get some time later on, I'll try to post them. Essentially, I got the car complete as a turn-key roller. Came set up with a 283 Chev and a Turbo 350. Right now, I've got a new Goodwrench 350 in the frame rails, and that's about it. I started taking the joker apart, and the further I got, the more I realized how very wrong much of it was put back together. A hack job I could almost understand, but there were so many things that are wrong with it from a safety standpoint that I'm amazed I never wrecked it the brief time it was roadworthy. DRG, this one's my baby, and I'd like to go almost 50's retro with it...almost. I know the 350 doesn't earn points, but it'll do until I can really whip up something neat. I'm just waist deep in the thing now, and it's kinda looking like a long journey ahead...but I think that's why I'm here. All the help will be very much appreciated.

You've come to right place. I recently became a member and have already walked away from here with tons of advice thaty helped greatly. So, welcome, and I hope to see pics soon.
