Hello from louisiana
Hello, I just bought a 72 chevy super Cheyenne 400 with original stock motor, the truck is in fair to above average condition.the engine burns a little oil, and i am going to do a re-ring rebuild.
And thought it would be a good idea to join here to learn as I go.

It is a long bed. I found it in mustang,ok.

There is lots a knowledge around here for free. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Best advice I can give you is ask first and buy second. Don't make the same mistakes many (including myself
) have done. The folks around here can really help guide you to a successful plan. Most have "Been Here and Done That"

It's probably a 402 BBC. Some big block trucks had 400 badges but had 396's in them. Not real common though. The badges say 400 but they never came with 400 small blocks.

I prefer pre - 68 c-10s, after that they are rather a bit "box-y" for me. But they do look nice all fixed up, I look forward to it!.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
