Another new guy from South Dakota
Hello everyone! I’m currently on deployment in Germany. I was into cars when I was young but took a detour into the bike world for a spell. I am now going back to my roots once more. I have an 86 Monte Carlo SS that I share with my wife as we bought it as a wedding present to each other back in 1998. I am going to do an LS swap in it and mod a bunch of other things as well. I also have a short box step side Chevy C-10 that I am building after the Monte Carlo. I then will get onto my 39 Chevy 2 door sedan which I have a long list of things I want to do on that one. Thank you for reading my paragraph of rambling.

Welcome aboard, you're only about two hours away from me in Watertown. How long are you deployed in Germany? My BIL was deployed there quite a few years back.Seth

We’ve been here since October 1st 2019. Will be back home in July sometime. We are limited to zero travel here with everything going on in the world. So project research and planning is my sanity finder.

Welcome to CHR. Sounds like you've got some great projects, and good plans for them! Assuming this is a military deployment, so thank you for your service, especially in times like this!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Welcome. I served in die Deutchland also..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Welcome. Sounds like nice list of future projects. All cars that I could get into.
Also very nice to see someone interested in a pre-49 car. That is becoming a rarer thing.Mike

Thank you everyone. When I get back home I will post pics of where things are currently at. I don’t have any on the iPad or phone here. Yes, this is a military deployment. I’m on rotation in Grafenwohr Germany. Before the virus scare we were able to see Nuremberg 4 times, Munich once, and a couple castles. I had a list with many other places on it to go see but looks like we won’t be doing that on this trip anymore. My wife and I will come back here to see a bunch of places in a couple years.
