New Member fulfilling old dream
Hi Folks,
Have many hot rod books and magazines, and have built many model hot rods over the years starting in the late '50's; but have never allowed myself to endulge in the real thing - until now. My wife liked the '35 Chevy tudor sedan sitting out off a country road and said "you are not getting any older", so am now in the process of acquiring a dream.
The car is beautiful, fat fendered, suicide doors, 350 crate motor, automatic (my first), nice suspension, beautiful blue body and white pearl fenders, no rust or evidence of rust that I can find - COOL.
Still trying to figure out which insurance company to go with (Hagerty or Grundy), making out a To Do List, and listing priorities - like changing oil (but which filter to use?) and doing an alignment (as soon as I can figure out what specs to use), etc.
Glad to be on board with you all, and Thank You for providing the various forums and responses on them. These forums really help a "Newbee" get going and also helps minimize costly mistakes - I hope, they also help "share the passion". Looking forward to now being an active member of the hot rod community.Cheers,
Steve
