HEY NOW! i know where your comin from but Hot roddin aint dead yet! i just turned 19 (oct) and i have been restoring a 69 GTO for 3 years. This may sound like a far out or a bit of a stretch as to how to get younger kids back into old time hot rodding and muscle cars, but it would actually be as simple as some movie studio putting out a couple of films about hot rodding. It could either be based in the hayday's of the hobby or modern times using old hotrods as center pieces. It worked great for boosting the ricer and NOS popularity.
That being said, I've been tossing around the idea of writting my own screen play about cruising and hot rodding. It would be a real story with believable characters and most importantly, a not-over-the-top, rediculous stunt filled story.
I mean if you watched "American Graffitti" with some kids nowadays, I bet they would be turned on to the scene of cold rolled steel, non fuel injected, gas guzzling, tire smoking, horsepower churning beast of the day! And that's not even describing the uniquely original cool designs of each and every car produced back then.
How's that for an idea? I told you it was a little out there to begin with."Now bring me those cheese sandwich appetizers you talked me out of."

yeah all of these kids think that there rice burners are so fast and everything then why dont they take two cars and prove it like take the same amount of money and put in to a old car and then a new car we all know the old car will when thats why they dont put old race cars in movies with rice rockets racingDan

I wouldn't consider us being REAL young because man I feel old already. Haha just kidding. But yeah there isn't a lot of kids our age into hot rods. I am almost the only one at my school into it. There are some kids at school into them but most kids I see are into muscle cars. I am the ONLY one at school into the 30's-50's cars. I like 20's cars too. Like T pails that good ol Streets has there. heh. I wish I knew some more kids my age that were into hot rods. Only thing I don't like is us kids into them don't get much respect from older people and they always say how they wish kids were into rods instead of rice. Either they dont respect us or the blow us off or ignore us. I just don't bother with it though, I stay to myself in my own little world I guess you can say and try not to be in a certain stlye I guess you can call it, I just work on my car ride my dirt bike and do what I wan't.
Lol man I don't even know what I am saying anymore I have to go. hahawww.streamlineautocare.com
