Hi all this is just the site I have been looking for
Hi all
My name is Earl I live in New Mexico I have a 1982 Corvette,Stroked 350 ,430 HP, I just cut the top off and made it into a convertable I added a roll bar, Tunnles behind the seats and re covered the seats with red leather.
I do my own painting in my garage I would do the painting even if I could afford to have it done
My user name comes from my grandfathers last name (Rausch) he was the head engineer over welding for studibaker.
I guess I got a lot of his genes as I love cars and I have a dream of one day having my own car shop but at 49 it is more than likley a pipe dream but you have to live your dream no matter how far fetched they might be.
I make my living as an Electrical engineer, Have five kids all but one have graduated from HS.
I do quite a bit of traveling and I go past a lot of small towns and I always stop in at the junk yards and look for any deals that I might find.
My latest finds are a 72 mustang for 100$ two TA's for 50$ each
The guy allso had several monte carlos .
anyway enough ramblings.
this is a great site was so glad to find it
Earl

Thanks to you all for the welcome. OK well not all of you meaning the rain Dancers
I have worked on a lot of cars lots of British CRAP during the late 60's I sure wished I spent it on good ole US Muscle. I did take an Austin Healy 3k and put a 302 in it .
I have yet to build a car from the ground up but I am keeping my eye out for a project.
I know my weak points are in the suspension area. The idea of knowing the exact mounting points on the frame are not clear yet.
And reamember no true man Reads the directions.
