Hey i am gonna paint my own car after having some of my interior painted by a professional and realizing that i could do it for less. Anyways i had my interior painted white dimond the new escalade color. anyways i was wondering where do you find out what you have to mix in order to get it the same color. Also do you guys know of any cool colors (nothing to extreme).

You could go to an autobody supply store and ask for the new escalade color. Or, ask the professional that painted the interior for the code.

The auto supply store will also have paint chip books. You could thumb through those to find a color that U like to compliment the interior color.

If you've never painted before you may want ta' practice first. It's a little more involved than just pickin' up a spray gun and painting a car. Ditto with the body work. It takes some experience to do it right. Not trying to discourage you, just know the professionals get paid well for a reason.

Looks easy doesn't it...OK, some are naturals and I have met a few in 35 years of painting...a very few- but if you can do it then here's what you do.......If he used Diamond deluxe you can get the mix codes from General Motors for their paints, or you can go to NAPA for MS codes, or your nearest PPG auto paint dealer (I think that's Westco over here) and they have them, and get your paint & supplies.
Good Luck with your decision to attempt such a feat with a very difficult & expensive choice. Please let us know how it comes out & PLEASE post us a picture...

BTW - I charge triple to fix a homemade paint job, and I get 42.50 an hour to shoot custom paint.

First of all you do know its a Tri-Stage paint ?
Why dont you call the shop that sprayed the inside of your vehicle and get the color code & paint product they used, be easier doing it that way.

And l will just repeat whay Biskit said.
Any Auto Paint jobber has the formula and can mix as much as you need, it will requier a white base, and the pearl top coat, then cleared. Each coat of pearl you lay down over the white will get muddy and yellow. so dont think laying several coats of pearl will be better, it wont !

Plus if it ever gets damaged later on its not an easy repair.

My uncle is gonna help me paint he wanted to do it he is a very good painter he used to paint for my grandfather when he had a body shop. thanks guys i just wanted other opinons because i have never seen the work that he has done since i wasn't even born when they had the body shop. to bad my grandpa had to retire.
