DennyW, here is a "blank" for Model A roadsters, maybe you could try a metallic maroon? On the other hand this "cream" sort of grows on me so if your don't do it I'll just look at Carnut some more.

DennyW, Wow I got my head moved! Well that covers the "primer" look. So many colors, so little time!

DennyW, Just to thank you for the "Maroon Model-A Roadster". That gives me a pretty good idea of what a darker color would look like and indicates a need for a little chrome here and there like door handles and maybe those little handrails the top is supposed to rest on. You are really good with computer graphics as well as mechanical advice, thanks again. I note that the "grey primer" version of the roadster shows reflections in the door that were not visible in the "cream" version, but I don't know what color you were trying for. Anyway, mission accomplished as far as what maroon would look like, Thanks.

Don, white and black are 2 of the hardest to do anything with as fas as color changing and having it come out right.
DennyW is right, starting with a white car is tricky. It can be done, but it is hard to make the paint look shiny. Here is a quicky to give you an idea.

This is an old thread but I missed DennyW's last maroon rendering. It's great! Now I am sold on metallic maroon for sure, thanks DennyW!
