Virtual Paint Job
Hello everyone:
I hope it's OK to post this here. I am offering my photoshop services for anyone who is contemplating a new paint scheme for their car. I have posted a few photos to give you an idea of what I can do for you. Before you spend a lot of time and money on a new paint job, let me show it to you first! My rate is $55/hour and I can do most jobs in one hour.
Here is the link:Virtual Paint Job
This is a new venture for me, so any feedback would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Shaheen

Welcome!
Hi Mike! First of all... Welcome to CHR...Hope you enjoy the atmosphere lol.
Second, Nice Work!
Third, and I say this just FYI.. we are a moderator short at the moment, but if we did have one...i'm pretty confident that as members of CHR we're not allowed to post ads for services we'd get paid for. So usually, a post like yours would get deleted pretty much before anyone saw it and you'd probably get banned ugh, an no one want's that to happen cause we like newbies to harrass and be harrassed by Just FYI...i'll try to find a link about posting for services...I know it's here somewhere...just gotta find it. Anybody care to help out with that? You miss 100% of the shots you never take

DennyW:
You must be one heck of a nice guy. I would love to see some of your work. Do you have a link to any samples?
Jerilynne:
I sure don't want to offend anyone, thats why I started with "I hope it's OK to post here". Maybe I posted this this in the wrong area. I am not some big company advertising, as a matter of fact I have never been paid yet for doing this work. I',m really just looking for feedback to see if this is worth pursuing. I figured if I got some good responses that maybe I would try and market the service through conventional means. If what I did is wrong, I apologize and I will never do it again.

Hey; I thought every one was trying to find a nice way of telling you. We like new members here and enjoy good conversation.
In fact one of our members here invented a computer program and won first prize at the auto show that does just what your trying to charge for and he let us try it out for free for a while.
DennyW and Jerilynne 1965 are both fine members and very helpful to other members as you could see by Jerilynnee responce to help you find a site to post your advertisement.
And she did'nt ask for anything! Did she!!!

Is it practical to digitally modify the body sheetmetal in Photoshop? Can I chop the roofline, section the midsection, stretch the cab, etc? Cut and paste different rim/tire combo's? Scale the rims/tires to get the basic look and rake I want?
I was going to scan photo's and import them into AutoCAD, cut and stretch, then render the modified drawing. PITA way of getting there if Photoshop can do the same.
Are there cheaper but still functional alternatives to Photoshop, even the "Educational" version still costs $320.
Thanks, Mark
