Paint Code Question
Hi everybody,
I have been trying to track down the paint code for the Rally Yellow that is on Chevy's 2005 Cavaliers; but, I haven't had much luck. Anybody have the code?
Thanks,

I will have to wait till I am at work Monday and look in my 05 color book to get it for you, fastest way to get the color code is go to a chevy dealership, open the glove box and get the WA color code , be the bottom numbers on the tag, if its not in the glove box go to the trunk and pull up the carpet and its on the spare tire cover , WA number will be there too.
Then any paint manufactuer will be able to mix the color for you .

Thanks Spray, I'll give that a shot.
If you happen to come across it in the meantime. Please let me know.

2005 GM cavalier
WA# 9414
GM paint code 34
PPG # 82960
PPG calls it Yellow , I found nothing called Rally Yellow, but every paint manufacturer has their own color names, thats why you need the color code to make sure you have the right color.
Might check my #'s I gave you with an actual 05 Cavalier at a dealership to make sure thats is the correct color.

I was just curious about the asking for the new Cavalier yellow...are you sure that's the one you really want?
I know you didn't ask for a color opinion, but, that new Cavalier yellow looks like "highway dept.", "road sign" color IMO.
The reason I'm commenting on this is that "I" am considering yellow also on a Mustang.
A 2004 Ford color called "Chrome Yellow" is a much nicer color.
It's comparable to what they called "Corvette Yellow" in the older days.
Another Ford yellow called "Zinc Yellow" is a duller, less colorful yellow comparable to what is known as "Competition Yellow".
Pick up the May issue of Car Craft and check out the '77 Nova that was just painted in Ford "Zinc Yellow" single stage w/ a clearcoat over the top. It's not bad, but I thought it would've been better in "Chrome Yellow".

I can't believe it , I too am looking for a yellow for my40 ford coupe. I like the corvette yellow the best so far. I have seen a few others in mags but it is hard to tell the true color from a pic. Some of the new yellows do look like a road sign or school bus, probably a nice color on somethings but I believe on my 40 I would prefer a nice old hot rod yellow .

You guys that are looking for a bright yellow, there is a 60's or 70's VW yellow that is hurt your eyes bright yellow.
I painted my neighbors Minx Manx Dune Buggy that color , and damn was it bright . Real Vivid and rich .
I will have to look in my color chip book and see if I can find you the correct code for you.

Spraytech, I went to autocolorlibrary.com
and looked up the vw colors . If you get a chance look there and see if anything looks like what you are talking about. Thanks Darin
Thank you Roger. .
