    tractor paint

has anyone used tractor paint with success. I talked to a guy at work, that said if I used the hardner with the enamel then It'll give a pretty good result. I'm not building a show car or anything, just getting sick of the primer gray

you will get a decent result but you will have orange peel pretty bad. i would go and get some Omni brand paint, its about 1/4 the cost of Dupont and i have had very good results. the only reason why its cheaper is because they dont advertise and there is no warranty.

i get mine from Arnold Motor Supply. i'm sure Sturdevants, Big A, Car Quest might carry it. if they sell another brand 3x expensive and not omini, dont let them talk you out of it. there is no regulations that i know of on paint. also lots of body shops use it around here so you may want to check them out also.

I used Case-IH paint on my old Ford pickup and had very good results. This was the first thing I've ever painted and only had one small spot of orange peel.

This is the good stuff if you want a suide black finish that is very tough finish, looks good and is 'very' inexpecive and won't orange peel.
