What paint for frame ,and can a novice panit it?

I have a truck frame that will be sandblasted. I think I can paint it myself ,but don't know what paint to use. I am thinking a flat black, but need something very durable. Can someone also take me through the process of frame and paint prep. Thanks for any help.

If you are just looking for an easy-to-spray coating, and the frame doesn't need to be a "showpiece", I would use SEM trim black. It requires no primer, and I've used it for just about everything.

PPG make a chassis black paint that doesn't need to be reduced, or have any additives. Drys Quick and looks great.

    frame paint

I totally agree with 2 many. Ive used the Hammerite rust cap gloss black on my frame. Nothing beats it but powder coating!
You can buy it at Home Depot or on line. About $ 44.00 a gal.
Spray it on or brush it.
