    which primer with blitz black?

I'm planning on using blitz black for my paint. I just saw a car in person with a NICE blitz black job and fell in love.

I'd like to use a really tough primer and skim coat with filler then primer and then blitz black but I'm not sure which paints are compatible with blitz black. anyone know???? I NEED this info before I can even start stripping the paint off my car and primering.

How about the matching primer for blitz black. Blitz black is a John Deer Color so the primer and paint are both available at the John Deer dealership ( if that is what they call the places that sell tractors/ farm equipment ).

You NEED to use the buff primer that is made JUST FOR the BB John Deere paint. Don't use nothing else. This primer is good anyways. Mixing ratio with hardeners, etc for the paint 8-1-1 just to let you know. Make sure you follow instructions exactly and dont let it sit too long or too short between drying periods. www.hotrodders.com Go there and you will see a thread all about this paint in the painting section. It will help you a ton.

i have used the jd primer on my nose cone and also have had good luck with a 2 part imrom high solids primer on my bucket body both seemed to work fine.
warning blitz black is a softer paint less chip resistant than std factory finish, but is easy to spray and quite easy to apply.
you can play with the blitz and jd semi gloss if you want a little sheen to the paint .
i used the semi gloss on my frame and on a old brit bike i have it went on so nice and looks a lot like powder coat.

I plan to use the high gloss for all my frames. I have seen this high gloss on a guy's Impala on hotrodders.com. Looks pretty good for cheap 100 dollar paint and primer all put together.
