Because I never liked the hi-gloss look of full strength Armour All, I cut it with a 50% mixed with water. It cuts down on the gloss, but still provides protection. Now, this what I use on my tires. For a vinyl top, I'd probably go 75% A/A and 25% water.---Tom

I've heard that Armour All drys the vinyl out, is there any truth to that?

ArmorAll needs to be trashed , its junk , once it is used it sucks all the petroleum out of the plastics / rubber , once its on you need to keep on using it , or it will dry out .
I bought a new toyota , and told them NOT to armorall my bed liner , and damnit if they didnt put that shit on , and now after these years of not using it , the liner is chalky white , and you can take your fingernail across it and take a gouge out of the liner .
Plus its a bitch to get off if you have to repaint any parts of the car .
PAint and silicone dont mix !!!
Use a petroleum base product for plastics or rubber , NO SILICONE !!!!!!!!!!!

Spraytech, what would you recommend instead of Armorall then? Your right about it though... I didn't think it was the armorall doing that kind of thing.www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!
