A normal price for a basic paintjob goes from two or three hundred at Maaco, to $5000 at a quality shop, if it's a Ferrari restorer it's probably north of $10,000, and if the artwork goes too high on the insanity meter, it's another $5,000-10,000.....Oh yeah, If it's someone on TV, double the cost! :-)~

It all depends on materials cost, (which varies widely), What kind of vehicle, (some are much harder), the experience and talent of the painter (which goes from monkey to Michelangelo), and what it will be used for (beater or Pebble Beach Concours).

You will rarely get more than you pay for, but it's easy to find painters who give you less than you paid for. There is always someone who will do it for a lower price, but you should plan on getting less for the money!

You need to decide what it will be used for, and what you are willing to spend, then take the time to check the guy out with previous customers, to see how they were treated.

I think that covers it! :-) Good luck.
