First time painter today
Well guys I finish painted something for the first time today. As a part of my engine swap project I wanted to clean up some of the scratches on my inner fenderwells. They are the same color as the car. I had the fenders off to make the swap engineering easier. I prep sanded to smooth everything, then sprayed it with a filler primer and finish sanded it. This has taken a while because with the car up on jacks I have to do my painting outside. Had to wait for decent weather. Today it was nearly 70 and calm so I took a day of work, and with coaching from a painter friend I was able to lay on a pretty decent coat of paint. Only had a couple runs and just 1 bug, they will be very hard to find. The fenderwells came out nice and shiney so I am quite pleased! Now I will let them cure for a couple days and install them. I have a whole new confidence, not ready to tackle a whole car yet, that will come later. I have been tackling a number of things I have never done before on this project, and so far they are working out well.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
And then a newer model....
