    chromallusion paint

question about chromallusion - can a "flash effect" be created by spraying chromallusion in a different pattern, as to paint "ghost flames using same color as base.

Hi,from the research I've been doing. The base coat for the chromallusion paint must be black. I'm not sure what you mean by flash effect, but the colors of the chromallusion paint are achieved by the layers. From what I understand,it's a fairly precise process.(Anyone correct me if I'm wrong) I'm not a painter, just been doing some homework.

    Chromallusion Paint...

I just finished a paintjob were the client asked me to use Dupont Chromallusion... I had not used it before as I am not really a big fan of the stuff... I was suprised at how easy it was to spray!... If you wanted to try something different you could use a couple of different colors combos of the paint... The stuff I used was blue/purple/green you could use two different color combos one for the flames and one for the base color for a different effect... I don't know about your flash question since I have never tried it and have very limited experience with this kind of paint... One thing is for sure you don't want to do too much experimenting at $400 a pint!!!

Here is a photo of the job I did using the Chromallusion Paint...
