In simpler terms, there are a couple reasons that go hand-in-hand with the red-white combo.

Psychologically, red is an "excitement color". Being one of the basic colors, it is also "classic" in feeling. If you were buying a Camaro, aren't those the feelings you want from the car?

Purple is an "exotic color", and also can seem "feminine". That is probably NOT what they are looking for.

You will find at least three times more buyers for the red car.

The goldish shades suggest "value". That is not a bad image for resale.....but I would bet on the red color, and Z28 stripes.

A final thought....If it's a keeper, do what will make you happy. If it is mechandise....paint it red.
