    How old???

I am stripping a '57 Bel Air hardtop. It is like an archeological dig, and has four paint jobs on it, with plenty of problems. The last job was done using a bright green glazing putty. I don't think it is lacquer spot putty.

I just wondered if anyone knew when this product came on the market, and if it's still around? That might tell me when it was last painted.

If you Google 'green stuff body filler' the first thing up (for me) was a referernce to 3M 5960 Acrylic filler, and guys saying it's junk not to be used - shrinks after painting, etc. Looks like this one's still used, so may not tell you what you're looking for...

I haven't seen the green version for many years, but I know that the red was still around a late as 2008 when I started the bodywork on my '31. Being old school until shown the error in my thinking, I tried to use it - once - then went to Rage and Icing as well as the sprayable polyester filler/primer
