Window door seals
If anyone has any information on the seals around the windows in the doors, like where I can purchase the seals, or any books that may help me learn what I need to do to remove the old ones and install the new ones. I also have the little wing windows so I need to know how to remove and install those as well. I've never done this before so any help would be appreciated. I'd also like to know if theres any replacement hardware for the windows or locks that can or should be replaced in the door. The locks have a little bit of problem but the windows roll up and down fine. I wouldn't even mind putting an electric motor in to roll them up and down if its available. Thanks for any help.
This is for a 1965 Ranchero.

You can buy the seals here, http://www.falconparts.com/faqstuff/displaycatalog.asp it's about halfway down the page. I have never replaced seals but, I watched one of those 5 minuite how too's on " My Classic Car " and, they ripped the old down and put the new up with a type of glue. I don't know a thing about removing the wing windows. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Thanks Streets and Matt for the help on the windows. I'm not sure what to order for these windows, to keep the water from getting into the window from outside. I know there is one rubber seal but is there a set? Because the one looks almost like a squeegee on the bottom lip of the window frame. Is there a book that I can get that will tell me what these pieces are called or what are the original pieces that were in there or that will tell me what I have to do to make the window seal like it did when it was new? Thanks.

Vara, look for a body manual for your car or one in the basic year group. They show up on EBAY once in a while and there are also publishers. If you are working on an older car they are a treasure.
Good luck
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Stu Cool; thanks for the tip I gonna go to the book store and check it out to. This is for my 65 Ranchero, just got a cool catalog from Melvin's Classic ford parts inc. It has alot of the stuff, but not every thing I would like to get for it. Got an Idea I'm gonna have to start fabricating stuff for it. The bed sags inbetween the cross members, not alot but I want it to look better then new. I don't like the anodized front grill,so I'm gonna have that chromed, or maybe design a new grill all together for it. I'm not quite sure on this yet.I know I'm able to do this just not sure about changing the apperance. any one else have any input on this. thanks
