there is no cheap way to do it. i linked you to a couple of sites to help you but you refuse to go there. the perfect paint job explains the process from start to finish . just wondering if ppg is as good a house of colors tells me you would be better off to save some money and have it done by someone else.

I've found that many times the term "Sandblasting" has become generic.. When in reality, they use many different medias. Guys come over to my shop to use the "sandblast cabinet", but I don't have an ounce of "sand" anywhere in the building!

even my small blaster runs low. i have a 185 cfm diesel compressor. the high pressure is for jack hammers or blasting on concrete. it takes no more than 35 lbs to remove paint biggest mistake made when blasting. too much pressure and too much media.

If you haven't done media blasting of a car before, we'd caution you to re-consider! The damage to your vehicle isn't worth it!! Get a DA and some sandpapers.

That's as PC as I can say it here.. 8-)

    PS thanks for everyone replying
I think we've lost the path on this thread. You started saying that you were looking at blasting another guy's body & frame to make extra money for your build, wondering how much to charge. I think the answer to that is that your potential liability far exceeds your potential for profit, and you need to look at other ways to bolster your build fund. This one has disaster written all over it, and you could end up losing everything you own if someone with deep pockets comes after you for warping the body panels on his pride & joy. Even if it's nothing special, buying and paying for the install of new panels would cost a bundle. I'd politely tell the guy you're not set up for that kind of job, and suggest that he find a shop for his work.

1 1/4 hose 3/8 nozzle running 30-35 lbs of pressure with the least amount of media possible. only way to control it.
and yes it cost a penny or two . diesel aint cheap either and it uses it . you wont find me doing any 400 dollar blast jobs.
