How should I do the flames on my '60 LeSabre? If someone could do some in photoshop or something like that it would be good. By the way I'm new to this group, my name is Gerig Michael H.Gerig Michael H.

To tell you the truth, I dont think flames would look good on that, the body lines just woulden't flow but, that's just my oppinion, nice car though. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I don't want all out flames, I just want to kindof highlight some areas of it. I was going to put some coming off the front fins and headlight bucketsGerig Michael H.

You might want to check out this site it has some good flame styles to think about. But I agree I don't know that I would do flames. But if that is what you are thinking have you thought about phantom flames.... might give you the detail you want but not all the color to detract. Something to think about.

I think the body lines lend themselves more to scallops. Just my opinion.

That's a cool Buick. GM called that a Greenhouse top. It still has the original hubcaps on it. If you do flames they have to cover the whole car. It's too massive for small flames here and there. Scallops would look good and are easier to do.
Here's a Buick with a full flame job. Painted by Larry Watson." Im gone'

My Thoughts...
I think that if you keep the flames below the body line it will look fine...
As square/blocky as the car is, some flames would be a nice contrast...
Just my 2¢...

Hi,
As a long time painter and artist of some local repute, I gotta say, there was never a car made that won't look cool with some sort of flamejob. Some like it loud and bright, some like if subdued.
You have a very cool car, I like your idea on flat black, ( it looks sinister) and my opinion on flames for your car is....ghosted silver or metallic blue starting at the rear of front wheel wells. Large licks.

I got to agree with Dabberdawg, a light silver or metallic blue would be sick. I wan't a flat black or gloss black car with metallic blue flames. Even a pearl white or silver or blue would be sick too.www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!

Flames are a subjective thing...
Putting flames on a Buick brings with it many possibilities
