    hey All,

I need some help. What can I use to get some scratches out of paint . Should I use Mothers, Wax or is there anything else i can use? I have a car show this weekend and want to make sure the dings, scratches and all are out of my paint. Thanks

How about a simple rubbing compound? Usually works for me.

What kind of rubbing compound. I bought Mothers last nite and they say that works great. But ive been rubbing it in for 2 hrs last nite and i gotta do more today. Alot of people dont know how to apperciate a classic and i have alot of hits on my car door. So since i have a show on sat i want to get her into shape or at least try to get out as many dings as i can. So wha should i use?

All depends how bad the scratches are. If they are too deep, you will never be able to rub them out.

Some are deep and i can understand with just having to repaint the car but some arent that deep at all. So those i want to try to get out. I have alot of those.

A buffing wheel will get them out faster, (If they come out at all) But, with a buffer you have to be carefull not to burn the paint.
Like poncho62_ said, If they're too deep only a repaint will fix them.

They do make color match polish that might be a band aid fix to get you through the weekend.

    Hey Betsy....
You could just spend the day at the show standing in front of the door.........
