One of the bad things about doing our own work is that we also tend to be our own worst critic. The things nobody else would notice or think was wrong, we do notice because we built it.

Yep!
I had right-hand trim on the front left-hand guard of the '47. and l/h trim on the rear r/h guard.
Nobody noticed...but I did...and it really bugged me until I managed to source the correct stuff from Bob Drake.
Now nobody notices I've got the correct trim...
And your bed looks bloody gorgeous to me shine!johnboy

WOW--looks great from where I'm sitting! I know how you feel about the tubs not looking like YOU think they should. That happens to me a lot!! I usually end up tearing it back apart and making it work for me when it was probably fine as it was. Thing is, nobody here to "bounce" it off of
It like the way it looks Shine

Now I have had to start right back at the beginning reading this post and yeah, it is a Chevy pickup you are working on.......... Well Mate, I guess it has to be me that has to tell you the bad news...... you have the engine in back to front. Apart from this little error, everything else is looking good. Oh, did I mention the neat colour too, I do like that too.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

the chevy tubs are easy to work with. if they had not been new i would have cut them . have the fenders almost ready for primer . need to get after it since it may be sold. i built it for a daily driver but bought a truck so i will let this one go.
it's a 54 ford whiplash . camaro clip , s10 rear 84 302/aod . should be a fun ride .
i was going to use orig gauges but changed to dakoda digital. i knew what all the dots meant
