    Any ideals ?

I repainting my truck hugger orange. I tig welded a tailgate skin on and moved the handle to the inside of the bed. The skin has the large embossed bowtie on it . Any ideals on colors to paint it or how to make it look pretty with the hugger orange ?
I have a friend who is pretty good with an airbrush. If I have him do it, should I take it to him after I spray the basecoat or after the clear ? And should he use the same kind (ppg dbu) of paint I used for the basecoat, to paint the design on the bowtie ?

I would apply it after the basecoat / before the clear with the same type & brand paint as the base coat. If you bury it in under the clear you won't have to worry about it, especially if you do any shading with the airbrush, then you will definately need to clear over it. Or if it's going to be a solid color you could paint it with a lettering paint like 1 shot enamel. Then you would want to paint it after the clear coat. The color you use is all personal preference. Blue is good. Go Chicago Bears.

Id say the same thing as pro70z28. Here is a pic of a truck with orange base, it might give you some ideas as far as color combinations go, but that part of it is totally up to you. If YOU like it, go with it.
some other colors could be green, black, purple, silver....

I've got an awsome idea. Paint some stars and bars crossing the center. Very subtle, but very cool
