You can add metal flake to almost any paint, depending what ya want......metalics can be had in a lot of colors..........one thing I will say, if you ever want to get the paint changed to another color in the future..........have fun getting the metal flake off!!............I used a ream of sandpaper and 6 coats of paint stripper on my Vette when I bought it.....guy had it painted red metal-flake.......man what a hassle...It was a b**ch....I would go with the metalic.

I used metalflake on a 55 Chevy. I had no trouble getting it off. after 4 years it started to look like crap from being exposed to the weather. I scraped it off with about a dozen single edge razor blades. They have more durable clear coat now than they did when I painted the Chevy but I still won't do it again unless someone wants to pay the price and get no warranty on it. I got blisters on my hand from constantly shaking the spray gun to keep the flake suspended. I would use metallic paint. Maybe get them to mix in some extra metallic but keep track of how much extra in case you need to match it later." Im gone'

I still have a jar of silver mirco sequins from back in the 70's. I still use it once in a while. just a thimble full does an entire car. I had a jar of gold too but it got misplaced somewhere along the way.
I usta' have a spray gun for metallics. It had an air driven motor on the bottom of the cup and a magnetized agitator that you dropped in the cup. The motor would spin the magnetized agitator and it had an air regulator to control the speed of the agitator. Worked great for heavy metallics / metalflakes / pearls / etc."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

The other guys pretty much summed it up for ya.
Beware of to much Metal Flake or Metalics. it will lighten or change the Hue of the color you are adding it to.
I added a light touch of micro sequin flake to my Purple Kandy mix to give it a tad more POP when the sun hits it
To much flake and it will look like a BASS Boat !
Another thing I might add is if you use a big flake it takes alot of clear over the top of all to burry the flake.
