    Damn,

Not a whole lot of viewing and no replies. Is this motor not of any interest to anyone because of its small discplacement or is it priced way too high. Any comments?

I'd have to say, in 1957 this might of been the best hotrod engine as, there were probably a few '55 and '56 Chevy's wreacked and left there engines for the takings but, now theres larger more powerful engines to take, like 327's and 350's. The price is probably right for the motor but, finding someone other than a restorer to buy it, might be hard especially on a hotrod site. I'd be nice to do a buildup as, it was the motor that started people hotrodding with SBC's.

That motor might be of more interest to a restorer so maybe you should advertise it in Hemmings Motor News? Put a tarp over it, someone will want it eventually, but probably not a rodder when 350s are still plentiful.

Also, if it's an original 55 motor, there is no oil filter boss on the block.....harder to find those.
