Wrecked 02 Firehawk-LS1 6 speed
If you are looking for a great engine, check this out! I have a 16K miles, original owner (me) LS1, with a 6 speed and an Auburn high torque differential for sale.
The car is loaded from Pontiac, with every option except 10 disc changer, and traction control--also excellent for a hot rod project.
From SLP, it has every option except the car cover. As mentioned, it has the Auburn high torque differential, the Bilstein ultra high performance suspension, Firehawk mats, commemerative portfolio, etc.
You can buy the whole car, or part. I also have over $7K in extra parts, like SLP long tube headers, dual Random tech Cats, 3" y-pipe, SLP 85mm MAF, SLP smooth bellow, SLP dual/dual exhaust, Stealth over sized air lid with C4 sized K&N Filter, Hurst shifter, SLP Skip shift elim., BMR SFC, BMR STB, BMR Adj. panhard bar, brand new MagnaFlow cat back exhaust, and much more!
I WILL TAKE $7500 for the whole car!
The engine, tanny and rear end are worth that--call me ASAP if you want the car. OR Email me at Red02Firehawk@sbcglobal.net

Wrecked Firehawk I need your opinions on prices?
I have heard from several people.
I am curious, as to what a fair price for the engine and transmission would be? Also, the Auburn high torque differential. I have had offers for tons of little stuff. I might just do this.
I have been told I should get at least $3500 for the engine and $2500 for the transmission. What do you think?
I was offered $1500 for the Firehawk hood, the first week I posted it as wrecked, on another Forum. I am tempted to take it and sell it myself. Except, stupid Kansas has this law you have to keep it licensed! AND, pay property tax. Although, I am sure I could convince them that value has gone way down!
It would be a lot easier decision if I didn't rupture a disk in my back on this. Wrenching is hard enough being old, but now my back hurts like hell too. Getting old sucks!
Anyway, I would like your opinioins!

I paid $4700 for a 2000 LS1 and A4 from a Firebird with 9k miles on it. I also got the ECU, harness, fuel tank, radiator, fans, drive shaft and a bunch of other stuff the guy had collected. He had to call off his project and I was in the right place at the right time. On E-Bay low mileage Engine trans combos go between $4000-5500. Given all the other parts that could be sold from your car, I think your price is a fair one. You could try parting it out yourself, but that would be a lot of work especially if you don't have the space or equipment. Try posting an ad over at www.ls1tech.com. That seems to be the place where all the Gen III guys hang out. Also check on Ebay just to see the price range.
Good luck with your sale, too bad it got bent.

Wrecked 2002 Firehawk for sale--all or part
I have an LS1, 6 spd. tranny, Auburn rear end, and everything else for sale, but must be contacted ASAP!
I'm considering buying my Firehawk to part our--as I have a local guy in the KC area who wants the engine and transmission. IF I do this, I will contact you and try to get you what you need.
In the mean time, if you know of anyone looking for a whole car, I might consider selling it all. I only want $7500 for the whole thing--it would be much easier for me to sell it all!
It is red, with a 6 spd. (it was rebuilt because of a missed shift), loaded w/leather, & every options possible except traction control and 10 disc CD changer. From SLP, it was loaded with every option except car cover. It includes the Auburn high torque differential, the Bilstein ultra performance suspension option, Mats, Commemerative portfolio, and rear deck mat.
It was hit in the right front wheel (which was ruined), with the front end moved left about 6". The hood is OK, except for some scratches--the tow truck guy forced open the hood other wise it was perfect! I had a guy offer me $2K for the hood, but he wasn't serious--I tried to get it sold to him. If I could sell the hood for $1500, and the engine (at $3500), the tranny ($2000), and Auburn rear end ($1200), I could make back some of my money on all the extra parts from SLP, BMR, and others.
It has the later year LS1 with the Donaldson Air lid and filter, and the Z06 intake. It also has over $5000 worth of parts. That is the real reason I want to do this, the insurance company, (a lady ran a red light hit me) and they don't want to pay me. Tough for them, I was severely injured so they WILL pay, one way or another. Turds!
Anyway, stay tuned.
